Spots
Cuevas Bajas is home to a variety of natural locations, such as the VALLEY and CLIFFS of the River Genil, HUERTAS DEL MARQUES and CERRO DE LA CRUZ, a hill 768 metres in altitude.
Near the aforementioned hill are part of a forest of gall oaks, a rare species in the area, and a majestic old holm oak known as "Borondo", a living vestige of the meadow that once stood here before disappearing in the wake of Mendizábal’s Disentailment.
Also nearby are remains of a sumac bush, a plant having formerly used in leather tanning.
