El Chanquete beach, also known as El Dedo beach, lies in the Malaga district of El Palo. It is located between El Palo beach and El Candado Marina. This beach has been awarded the Blue Flag 2021.

With dark sand and a moderate swell, it is 550 metres long and 20 metres wide on average.

Nearby is a promenade full of beach bars where you can enjoy fresh fish caught locally.

El Chanquete beach holds the Q for Tourism Quality Certificate 2016, guaranteeing the coast as perfect for a swim.

HOW TO GET THERE

it is easily reached by car from the N-340 highway or Pintor Joaquín Sorolla Avenue.

From the city centre, the number 3 and 11 buses, from the Paseo del Parque (Plaza de la Marina), leave you in Carretera de Olías, just an 11-minute walk from the beach.
