The Source at Caves of the Young Bull --Cuevas del Becerro-- (Unique Site)
Recommended month to visit it: July.
It is said that in one of the caves that surround the town a young golden bull was found, hence its name, Cuevas del Becerro [Caves of the Young Bull], the northern gate to the Serranía de Ronda.
The town lies in the Sierra de Espartosa, on a small hill, in a beautiful valley and surrounded by mountains that shield it like a barricade. In the outskirts of the town we find a setting of great beauty, el Nacimiento [the Source]. There, on a rocky promontory, spring wells up with strength creating a lovely show of streams and canals.
From the Nacimiento, the course of the Cuevas river runs through great part of the municipality to finally flow into the Guadalteba. In the area of the Nacimiento and the first stretch of the river there are several facilities for the visitor to enjoy.
