Jardín Botánico Molino de Inca
An exceptional botanical garden featuring a real windmill that has been rebuilt and is now fully operational. Several small buildings cater for organised tours and house exhibitions with an environmental focus.
The gardens boast over 500 types of tree and a nursery illustrating the birth and development of the different species. It also features ornamental fountains, four viewpoints, one of which overlooks a natural maze with sixteen fountains, and an artificial river source that subsequently flows into a lake.
Some 350 trees from 80 different families, 150 palms belonging to 40 different species and 400 bushes of varying origins and characteristics are to be found here. Taking advantage of the botanical gardens’ microclimate, several aviaries housing exotic birds and a pergola have been installed.
A further attraction is the typical flourmill, which functions via a complex system that makes use of the flow of water from the fountains.
