Beaches

Punta de la Plata Beach belongs to Estepona. It lies to the east of la Rada beach, which is considered to be the most representative of the district.

There are a large number of holiday resorts in the area surrounding the beach, so the beach is not so busy during the swimming season. It is 2 and a half kilometres long, although it is only 25 metres wide. It is covered in dark sand but the water is so clear you can see the bottom. There is a slight swell.

Some areas of the beach have more services, but on the whole the beach is not equipped for long days out at the beach, but tends to be visited more by the residents of the nearby complexes.
