The Western Costa del Sol is one of the first destinations of peninsular Spain. The Mediterranean climate with its mild and warm temperatures provides this region more than 300 sunny days.

It begins in Torremolinos, and after it there are Benalmádena, Fuengirola, Mijas, Marbella, Estepona y Manilva. Inside these lands, we will see villages which lay over the mountain range: Benahavis and Casares. This is the world of meadows and fields of Estepona, Casares and Manilva, as well as small fishing harbours that remain on the coast, which shelters the oldest neighbourhoods of the seaside villages. These villages are in many ways the origin of this beautiful province, where festivities are an important part of social life.
