Recommended month to visit it: May .. Almargen, a town on the plains, whose main mean of support resides in the agriculture: olives, cereals or sunflowers shape its landscape. It is found...

This is located on private property.

There are a series of archaeological sites here that confirm the existence of settlements from as early on as the Cobre Age, which went on through the Bronze Age as well as the Iberian, Roman and Islamic times. The necropolis of Almiron that is found in the artificially formed caves is outstanding and can be seen by the most curious visitors by following a series of tracks. They can also visit, if they so request, places where there are some incalculably important archaeological remains like a hidden idol, which has a phallic shape, a stela from the Bronze Age or an example of some of the first prehistoric swords..

There are remains of Roman Baths and archaeological remains in the Sierra de Cañete la Real.
