Located between the towns of Rincón de la Victoria and La Cala del Moral, it is one of the most interesting cavities by virtue of both its geological characteristics and its immense historical value – remains of cave paintings and Neolithic pottery were discovered inside. It is believed to have serves as a sanctuary in honour of the Mediterranean goddess Noctiluca 25,000 years ago.

The cavity is of marine origin, the various galleries that make it up having been formed by the pressure of the currents and waves of the Mediterranean. One of its most attractive rooms is the Sala de los Lagos, where stalactites cover practically the whole of the walls. The excavation of the grotto may continue through the Galería del Volcán, which probably leads directly to the sea. Also worthy of note is the Cueva del Tesoro, with its 500 metres of galleries.

Today, this cavity is used to stage a variety of musical events, which make good use of its excellent natural acoustics.
