Molino de los Abuelos Country House Hotel and Restaurant (Distinguished Establishments)
El Molino de Abuelos goes back to the year 1800, when it was used as an olive-oil mill. The house has a patio and wonderful views. It was restored and transformed into a country house hotel and restaurant, sparing the old mill machinery. It is open all year round.
It has five double rooms and an apartment with Jacuzzi, which are overlooking the village. There is heating in the rooms, a kitchen with a freezer guests can share and WiFi hotspots in the common areas. In summer, you can enjoy your meals inside the restaurant and on the terrace. The old cellar is used as a lounge or a restaurant in winter.
The restaurant is specialized in local dishes and traditional recipes. In summer, these are cold soups as ajoblanco or gaspacho, and in winter tomato and peeper soup, or ajocolorao soup.
This mill-house is placed at the Comares Square (la Plaza de Comares). It belongs to the Municipality of Axarquía, east of the City of Malaga. Different sports, like cycling, hitchhiking, and mountaineering, can be done in its nearby natural setting with beautiful views.
