The rooms of this fascinating museum are home to a variety of pieces bearing witness to Teba’s long history, ranging from Prehistory, through the Roman and Muslim eras, to modern Christian times. The museum belongs to the local council and charges a small, symbolic entrance fee. The museum belongs to the local council and charges a small, symbolic entrance fee. The Museum is at the ground floor of the Town Hall. It is the starting point for a more detailed visit to natural and archaeological sites and heritage within Teba’s territory. In the early seventeenth century, the scholar Sevilla Rodrigo Caro describes in a place called "The Pilarejo", a Roman pedestal to the goddess Victoria Augusta. Since then, there have been happening a number of findings that testify to a unique historical legacy.
